Welcome

Publication of our first title, The World and Wikipedia by Andrew Dalby, has coincided with a growing discussion about the position the online encyclopedia enjoys as the (often unacknowledged) go-to website for the world's media - not only for historical or biographical information but also for breaking news. The book looks at both sides of the argument (for and against the supremacy of Wikipedia) - read it now and make up your own mind!

Upcoming titles include The Mechanics of Songwriting: A Guitarist's Guide, by Leo Coulter. Bravely eschewing the 'quick-fix' ethos common to many how-to music manuals on the market, this book seeks to improve the songwriter by showing him how music actually works.

Into 2010 and beyond, our programme will extend into cookery, while developing other aspects of popular culture and music. Our continued aim is to stimulate thought and offer non-prescriptive yet authoritative content... We hope you'll come back and see what's new!

The World and Wikipedia

"A meticulous and judicious examination of the way [Wikipedia] is put together. An extraordinary world is unveiled..." London Evening Standard, October 22, 2009
